How aware are you of your own needs?

I know I’m always aware whether or not I need potatoes, or fruit. If I don’t get enough of them for a little while I’ll suddenly have pangs for them. This normally happens around breakfast time. So I pop up the road to the super market and remedy the situation with either roast potatoes or a good sized haul of fruit.

These are two very typical needs for me. But I was just wondering what other people get? Or if other people experience this at all?

Last night I was feeling potatoey and had a pot luck dinner to attend, so I rushed home to do a potato bake in time for dinner. Sliced up the potatoes popped them in the oven and started breathing in the sweet scent of starch. My pot luck ended up being cancelled while my potatoes were half way through the cooking process, so of course I had to just follow through and complete them regardless – can’t have half cooked potatoes!

But what you can have….is lots and lots of leftover potato bake for breakfast lunch and dinner!

Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

If I had to pick a food to eat for the rest of eternity it’d probably be potatoes. Is that so wrong?
