So guys we’re through our first week of spooky Halloween goodness. Are you any closer to a costume or party decision? I’m not. I’m thinking Tinkerbell could be the way to go but we’ll have to see what I can rustle up.

In the mean time, I thought I’d share a picture with you from my travels last weekend. This is the view out from Glenorchy, just round the corner from Queenstown. Gorgeous huh? Yup I was forced to look at these stunning views all weekend long. That there in the right hand bottom corner is a floating platform with diving boards on either side. Would have been perfect if only it was a bit warmer. It did snow while we were down there, so not exactly the best time of year for a lake swim.

Also, something which rendered me speechless was the Nevis bungy. Now I didn’t jump, I’m not that brave, but in all honest it was an experience in itself just getting there. This little platform is suspended high above the Nevis river, allowing for 134 meters of pure freefalling adrenaline. I must say though my adrenaline was pumping just being ferried across to the platform in a tiny little gondola with rain and snowflakes attacking my face.

OH and another thing! Right down on the lake edge there is a little handmade chocolate and icecream store, which I have sadly forgotten the name of. But if you ever get the chance to – go there. I had the HUGEST most delicious chocolate mousse cake. Plus they have a million odd different flavored chocolates you can get packaged up into pretty little boxes. Yum.

Scary!

Beauty!
